Short but Very Helpful book on How To Do Life

Michael Samuels has given us a short but very helpful guide on how to take what we know from the life lessons we have had and from whatever formal education that we actually learned from and apply it to finding a more productive, satisfying life.
Many who have had formal education in high school and university - as well as graduate school (I hold a Ph.D. In psychology) will find Samuel's sharing about how much of it did not help him refreshing. So many of us have held this in our hearts and have not known how to express it. On the other hand he does not say that all formal education is bad.
Good education teaches a young person and adults how to think, how to be curious, how to see beyond the Cultural Paradigm that boxes our thinking in - - most of us do not get this. This book will give some a way to rethink what they know, what they really want and then how to make plans to really achieve what they want. In a simple way Samuels helps us to re-set our path.
Is this book profound? Depends on who you are - - I sense what it does is help people boil many complicated things down to a manageable way of taking in and evaluating their lives - - so that they can release things that are not serving both in thought and in actual life endeavors - then to move on. Sometimes we have been searching for huge answers - when in fact we need more simple basics and in this -- it is profound.
I recommend this to many of my clients and friends as a refreshing way to rethink and then set their intentions for "attracting" and creating the life that will serve them and their loved ones - - and the world better . . . along with eating green/organic, exercise and some stretching like Yoga or Tai Chi, daily meditation and release of psychological wounds that most all people conceived in the West have - and this book will help serve becoming the more whole person that you know in your heart that you are.

Positive instruction

I enjoyed this book - I found the exercises that I have done so far to be most beneficial as far as enjoying peace of mind, an inner state of gratitude, and increased well-being. There are some powerful claims made in the book - and I have as yet to explore all of them, but believe them to be well worth my time and any effort I put in this direction.
Mr. Samuels writes with a down-to-earth flair that appeals to my reading style. I look forward to reading some of his other works.

Become the You you want to be.

I actually enjoyed this book. I didn't expect to. I expected it to be filled with metaphysical mumbo jumbo. Instead it is a step by step guide on connecting to who you want to be and how to get there. How to be a better you. I liked the conversational style of writing. The author never talks down to you. Only encourages and teaches you how to correct yourself. Forgive yourself (and others) and make better choices. I am going to give this to my teenager. I think it will help him be the best him he can be. I am going to implement many of the tips given. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to be better than what they are right now. We all have room for improvement.
