Good collection, but go for the hard copy

While the innovative arrangement of poems in this anthology (by date rather than by author) is refreshing, the Kindle version lacks a Table of Contents or Index, so that accessing particular poems is a bit of a chore. One hopes that the e-text will be revamped at some point with the greater convenience of the reader in mind.

Poor Kindle typesetting

I recently bought the kindle edition of this book. The book itself is excellent, but the text layout in the kindle edition is very poor. The layout of the text on the page is important in poetry - the pattern of the text effects the rhythm of the verse. In the kindle edition, lines which are inset in the paper book are flush left; likewise, lines that are flush left in the paper book are inset in the kindle edition. For example, the paper book version of the second poem in the book is:

This makes the poems look "wrong" - and by insetting much of the text by too much, single lines in the paper edition often overflow into double lines in the kindle edition (even with a small text setting). Is there any way of correcting this? It really spoils the experience of reading many of the poems. Any chance that a corrected edition could be issued?

The Penguin Book of English Verse (Penguin Classics) [Kindle Edition]

A quick update for those who have criticised the Kindle version. 1. It does have a hyper-linked Table of Contents. 2. Notes to the text of the poems are also hyper-linked. 3. Formatting issues seem few and far between.
That said, there is no direct way to reach the Table of Contents--and it is a *long* Table of Contents. I have just bookmarked it, thus the four-star rating for the kindle edition.
